Employee Handbook 2025

We have created this Employee Handbook as a set of guidelines for all employees to follow. This Handbook establishes policies, procedures and working conditions that will be followed by all employees as a condition of their employment.

Body Mechanics

Body Mechanics will introduce you to body mechanics concepts and principles. We will also discuss basic terminology, how injuries occur, and we will review video examples for Stretcher, Stair Chair, and Wheelchair transfers.

Mental Health & Dementia

This course will introduce you to basic mental health disorders, with a focus on dementia. We will also discuss communication strategies, some healthcare acronyms, and violence prevention.

Cultural Awareness

This course will guide you through foundational information about Indigenous peoples in Canada. It will also prompt your thinking about how self-reflection and recognition of power imbalances in healthcare can affect culturally safe service delivery.
